Three street sweepers in Calabar, Cross River state, received a heartwarming surprise as an anonymous benefactor generously gifted each of them a bag of rice in recognition of their dedicated work. Tom Alims, a Facebook influencer, shared this uplifting story.
Tom expressed deep admiration for the tireless efforts and commitment displayed by the three street sweepers in keeping their assigned areas clean. The decision to select these particular individuals was based on their outstanding performance in the location designated by the government for sweeping.
In his post, Tom shared:
“These three street sweepers deserve special recognition. They are the ones who keep the Street leading into our Governor’s Office clean every day. The fair lady starts from the roundabout leading into the Governor’s lodge down to the gate leading into the Government House.
“The other Man (the only male sweeper I’ve seen) takes it up from there down to the Ministry of Social Welfare and Community Development. The other lady takes care of the surroundings of the Dup Process Office.
“They all received their bags of rice with gratitude and prayers to the Donors. Let’s give them their flowers now that they are alive. We appreciate the work they do. May God bless them and their families.”
