After Afrobeat artist Davido lost all three categories at the Grammys last evening, diverse opinions have surfaced.
Davido was nominated for Best Global Album for his latest release, “Timeless”, Best African Performance for his song “Unavailable”, and Best Global Music Performance for “Feel.” Despite these nominations, Davido did not secure a win in any of the categories.

In response to the Grammy outcomes, Special Spesh took to his platform to express his discontent. He criticized Grammy, asserting that the white-dominated institution attempts to control anything thriving, including the Afrobeat genre.
Special Spesh emphasized their determination not to be disheartened by the results, vowing not to let Grammy undermine the significance of Afrobeats or contributions from Africa.
