The acclaimed Afrobeat sensation, Davido Adeleke, breaks his silence in response to the disappointment of losing all three of his Grammy Awards nominations at the 2024 edition.

Securing nominations in three prominent categories—‘Timeless’ for Best Global Music Album, ‘Feel’ for Best Global Music Performance, and ‘Unavailable’ for Best African Music Performance—Davido had high hopes for clinching his first Grammy.

However, the results saw Tyla from South Africa winning Best African Music Performance, Shakti from India securing Best Global Music Album, and the Best Global Music Performance going to the American director, Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain Featuring Rakesh Chaurasia.

In response, Davido took to the X platform to acknowledge Tyla's win, viewing it as a collective triumph for Africa.
