Disciples recount physical abuse in BBC investigative piece

Some followers of the late TB Joshua have shared their experiences of physical and psychological abuse in a BBC investigative piece. In a recent revelation, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) unveiled a snippet of an investigative documentary exposing allegations of sexual harassment and abuse by the late TB Joshua towards women and his disciples.


The now-deceased SCOAN founder’s covert lifestyle was exposed in the three-part series. It shared graphic tales of rape, abuse, deception, and staged healings.

The BBC was informed by sources that although the church was aware of all the accusations, it never looked into them. They said that it’s been 20 years since some of these allegations of sexual offense.

In one of the episodes shared by BBC Africa, some of the disciples who at that time were underage recounted how they were abused severally.

One disclosed how she was slapped by the late TB Joshua for not publishing an article on time while te others described him as a hot-tempered man.
