The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC) has undertaken a major operation, raiding approximately 240 shops in Abia State where fake drinks are being produced.
A widely circulated video online exposes the inventory of these Abia State shops, revealing a supply of fake drinks and the presence of poisonous chemicals utilized in their production. NAFDAC officials are seen in the video destroying the discovered counterfeit drinks, which include red wine, Fanta, club beer, Whisky, Hennesey, Champaigns, and more.
“A lot of people have bought drinks for Christmas but don’t even know what the source is,” reveals the NAFDAC director as another factory for the production of fake drinks is uncovered.
