Nollywood actress Funke Akindele expresses joy, thanking Nigerians and Ghanaians for their support in achieving a historic milestone. She broke previous records in the Nigerian film industry, grossing one billion naira in a short time with her movie.

The filmmaker made a staggering one billion, sixty million, seven hundred and eleven thousand, four hundred and ninety-one.

The highest-earning Nollywood films of all time are currently Funke Akindele’s A Tr!be Called Judah, Battle On Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto The Saga, according to the Wikipedia Nollywood grossing table.

She thanked Nigerians and Ghanaians for their support in helping her create history.

She also acknowledged that she was unable to adequately articulate their remarks and the immense love they had for her.

Funke expressed her gratitude to her crew and cast, calling them “amazing.”

She also expressed gratitude to her colleagues, business veterans, musicians, and celebrities for contributing to her effort in turn.

She wrote: “Thank you Nigeria, thank you Ghana for helping us make history!

“The comments I have read here on social media and the love I have witnessed is one that I cannot express but from the bottom of my heart, I am grateful.
