Ghanaian singer Stonebwoy declares, 'I'm Nigerian, hailing from Ewe in Oyo Kingdom

Livingstone Etse Satekla, widely recognized as Stonebwoy, a prominent Ghanaian Afro Pop and Dancehall musician, has recently revealed his Nigerian heritage.

Stonebwoy shared that he identifies as Nigerian, belonging to the Ewe tribe, and specifically hailing from Oyo Kingdom. This disclosure came during a recent interaction with the well-known Nigerian influencer, Ola Of Lagos.

According to Stonebwoy, his ancestors migrated from the Southern part of Nigeria before settling in Ghana, establishing a connection to Nigeria, particularly the Oyo Kingdom.

“Me sef nah Niger, no lies. Me nah Ewe from Oyo Kingdom, my tribe migrated from Nigeria to Ghana here, na we get Illesha. Shout-out to my people in the southern part of Nigeria, check Ewe, we root straight to Yoruba,” Stonebwoy expressed.
