Brentford striker Ivan Toney humorously commented on manager Thomas Frank "not wanting him" amidst ongoing transfer speculation.

Toney, who recently returned from a betting rule ban, made this statement after the club’s 2-0 victory over Wolves on Saturday.

The 27-year-old English professional, linked with Chelsea and Arsenal, has been a focal point of transfer rumors in recent months.

Earlier, Frank acknowledged that Toney is likely to be sold in the summer, stating, “It’s quite obvious that Toney will most likely be sold in the summer.”

Frank emphasized Toney’s value, noting that he will have only a year left on his contract by summer.

Following the win over Wolves, Toney responded to Frank’s comments, saying, “I see that as he doesn’t want me! The manager has said what he’s said but I can’t make clubs come and get me.

“I’ve just got to keep doing what I do and that’s score goals. What will be will be,” Toney said.

Although Brentford did not receive any bids for Toney in January, club officials anticipate interest in the striker when the summer transfer window opens.

Toney’s performance has been impressive, scoring his third Premier League goal in four games to seal the win against Wolves.
