Despite Ivory Coast's strong start, Nigeria managed to take the lead with William Troost-Ekong heading in a corner, securing an advantage at halftime.

Undeterred, Ivory Coast regrouped in the second half, equalizing through a well-executed set piece as Franck Kessie rose above the defense to powerfully head the ball into the net.

As the match seemed headed for extra time, Ivory Coast had other plans. In the dying minutes, Sebastien Haller, returning from injury, seized the opportunity and scored the decisive goal.

Haller’s timely strike secured the Africa Cup of Nations title for Ivory Coast in a thrilling finale, marking their third triumph, the previous one being in 2015.
