Laycon reflects on challenging times, revealing, "I once used toilet water to soak garri"

Reality star and former Big Brother Naija Lockdown Season 5 winner Laycon has opened up about some hard times he faced several years ago.

Laycon shared a poignant moment from 2013 when he used toilet water to soak garri due to extreme hunger and financial constraints. He described being alone in his hostel wing, starving, and resorting to using sewage water to soak garri without sugar. In his candid revelation, Laycon expressed the severity of the situation, recalling water streaming down his face as he soaked the garri.

“One of my lowest lows was using Shodeinde Hostel toilet water to soak garri in 2013. I was alone in my wing that weekend, and I was starving. I wasn’t hungry o, I was starving. So I soaked Garri with no sugar and used toilet tap water to drink it… as I Dey soak the garri, water dey commot for my eyes.”
