The cousin of the late Nigerian musician Mohbad has stepped forward to clarify the circumstances surrounding the singer's neck being positioned in a twisted manner inside his coffin.

Darosha Losobeh, Mohbad's cousin, denies the allegations of breaking the deceased singer's neck, as seen in a widely circulated video showing the purported incident during Mohbad's burial.

In response to the accusations, Darosha urges people to refrain from falsely blaming him for breaking Mohbad’s neck.

The late singer's cousin and personal assistant expresses his sorrow on Instagram, emphasizing that the false accusation is negatively impacting his mental state.

Darosha explains that they were forced to bury Mohbad in the manner shown in the video due to lack of space at the morgue where they initially intended to deposit his body.

He recounts the situation, stating that they were advised to pay for an ambulance and a casket to keep Mohbad until the next day because the morgue was full.

Darosha claims to have paid for the coffin and ambulance independently and was unaware that the coffin was too small for Mohbad’s remains.

He writes:

“I’m so down to the extent that I had to write this to clear this whole story about me going online that I bent my love’s neck; this is the craziest and saddest thing that ever happened to me in my whole life. That I broke my brother’s neck, seriously, this hurt me so much.

“What happened about the neck was that when we got to Ikorodu, we were told there was no space to keep his body at the mortuary, and we didn’t want him buried that night. So, a worker there advised the family to pay for an ambulance and a coffin where we could keep him until morning, and the same ambulance would drive him down to the place of burial.

The whole family agreed to the idea because the ambulance that took us to Ikorodu was complaining that they had to leave the same night back to the island. It was only his mum that was not present there that midnight.”
