Ailing Nollywood actor, John Okafor a.k.a Mr Ibu, is reportedly facing a critical health condition, grappling with difficulties in speaking. This concerning development follows his recent leg amputation just a month ago, undertaken as a drastic measure to preserve his life.
Mr Ibu has undergone yet another surgical procedure, involving the removal of a portion of the same leg that underwent amputation last month, as reported by Vanguard.
Concerns are heightening not only due to Mr Ibu's worsening health but also in light of the deteriorating condition of another veteran actor, Amaechi Muonagor.
Amaechi Muonagor has been hospitalized at Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi, Anambra State, for over two months.
Dr. Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), provided an update on the health of these ailing actors during a telephone conversation with the publication.
“We are resigning to fate concerning the two actors. As I speak with you, Mr Ibu hardly talks again and he has undergone another leg amputation,” he said.
