An American-based Nigerian mother has expressed her deep concern and frustration after her son returned home from school covered in scars, allegedly from repeated assaults by a classmate.

In a heartfelt tweet shared on the microblogging platform X, she detailed the distressing situation, revealing that her five-year-old son had been subjected to physical attacks every month at his school.

The mother, visibly upset, disclosed that one of her greatest fears was allowing her son to attend school in a predominantly white neighborhood.

Accompanying the tweet were images vividly displaying the injuries inflicted on her son, including scratches and bite marks on his hands and cheeks.

She wrote, “This is how I picked my 5 y.o up from school today. Kindergarten has been awful! Every month he’s been attacked by a student and it has been taken too lightly! My son is very lovable, & It feels like staff is turning a blind eye allowing it to happen! I’m livid & done!”

Highlighting the urgency of the matter, she emphasized that she chose to bring the issue to social media to amplify her voice and seek justice for her son.

Responding to comments, she shared further distressing details, stating, “They just started school in September. So damn near yeah!. Started with getting bit at school by a student, then the same kid dug his nail in my son's skin breaking the skin, now today this from another kid! He won’t be stepping his feet in that building again, they will see me in court.”

As she awaits a resolution, the mother continues to raise awareness and garner support for her son’s plight.
