Relationship expert, Joro Olumofin, delves into the controversial topic of infidelity, asserting that, in his view, cheating can be perceived as a sign of success and an ego boost for Nigerian men.

Olumofin suggests that having multiple romantic relationships during high school can give a boy a reputation as a "bad guy," a notion that seems to persist into college where having four girlfriends might earn a man praise as the "correct guy."

Joro Olumofin even goes on to reveal that certain universities go so far as to honor individuals with awards like "Ladies Man of the Year" for their prowess in maintaining multiple relationships.

The relationship doctor explains that this mindset could lead to friends celebrating someone like a "stallion" even after they are married.

Olumofin attributes this behavior to ingrained thought patterns formed during childhood, suggesting that these patterns influence a man's decisions on commitment. In his own words: “Cheating is a sign of Success, Stamina, and an Ego Boost for Nigerian men. In Secondary School if a Boy has 3 girlfriends he’s a ” Bed Guy ” his friends will laud him In University if a guy has 4 girlfriends he’s a “correct Guy” – His friends will hail him -Some universities even give awards “Ladies man of the Year” to acknowledge him. As a married man if he has 3 Side cheks. His friends will call him “Idan, Stallion, Rambo” This behavior has been imprinted in his cognition throughout his childhood. When it’s time to commit to 1 woman it becomes difficult. Men who are loyal to 1 woman are referred to as Mumu in Nigeria.”
