Nigerian soldier expresses frustration, stating, 'This month's salary is N50K,' as he struggles to afford N35K for transportation to visit his family

A Nigerian soldier who recently left Maiduguri bush after one year returns to the same location after being charged N35K as transport fare to go see his family. The soldier revealed that he was given a break by the military after staying in the Maiduguri bush for a year. However, when he got to the park, he was told that the transport fare to return home was N35K.

He did a quick calculation in his head and found out that his to-and-fro transportation fare would be N70K.

The soldier revealed that his salary for that month was just N50K.

He concluded that it would be better he just returned to the bush in Maiduguri as he can’t afford the transport fare.
