A Nigerian woman, identified as Chidinma, took to Facebook to express her surprise at the 'outrageous' bride price list her brother-in-law received from his fiancée's family. The family, hailing from Rivers State, provided an extensive list of items for their traditional marriage rites, challenging Chidinma's previous belief that families from Imo State held the record for the highest bride price lists due to their reputation for lavish marriage ceremonies.

Sharing photos of just 2 out of the 13 parts of the bride price list, Chidinma revealed that she chose not to share the remaining part for personal reasons. She expressed her disbelief at the lengthy and expensive nature of the list, emphasizing her vexation on her brother-in-law's behalf. The post includes images of the bride price list and Chidinma's commentary on the perceived excessiveness of the marriage requirements.
