Pere Egbi, a BBNaija reality show personality, has expressed his views on previous winners of the show, asserting that they don't deserve their winnings.

His stance implies that these winners secured victory due to emotional voting by Nigerians rather than a rational assessment of their merits.

According to Pere, if the reality show had been held in South Africa or the United States, the outcomes might have been different, suggesting a belief that the voting dynamics in those regions would lead to alternative winners.

Despite participating twice in the show, first during the 'Shine Ya Eye' season in 2021 and later in the All Stars edition in 2023, Pere has firmly stated that he would decline any future opportunities to appear on the show again.

Sharing his thoughts in the latest episode of Celebrity Quickies, Pere elaborated, saying: “My experience in the Big Brother Naija house was a rollercoaster. I had different encounters with different people, experiences that gave me something. Overall, it was good.

“But if I was asked to go back in the [BBNaija] House again, I would not. Simply because I feel Nigerians are not ready for reality TV. A bunch of Nigerians who vote for these guys in these shows in Nigeria, especially, Big Brother, are just one-track-minded.

“I’m being honest, if this was a South African or American show, I don’t think the people who won will win.”
