Sam Nnabuike expressed frustration with the perception that actors shouldn't have a life outside acting, defending Yul Edochie's decision to explore other business opportunities amid economic constraints. In his words:

“It is not only appalling that someone I thought was intelligent in the person of Noble Igwe would think it is a bit off for an actor to venture into other businesses, but It is also somewhat malicious that people don’t feel actors should have a life outside acting. What is wrong in seeking to delve into other businesses, especially with the constraints of the present economy? Na still Una go say male actors are not doing enough like their female counterparts, Na still Una go say, what is an actor doing delving into another profession. Let thespians breathe for goodness sake.”
