This post sparked controversy, with social media users expressing disapproval of Yul's public comments on his first wife while being married to Judy Austin.

Responding to the controversies, Sheila Edochie, Yul's cousin, broke her silence and expressed that the entire Edochie family is weary of Yul and his antics. She urged social media users to address Yul directly without involving the family or his wife May in the online drama.
