Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo, renowned for his insights on relationships and marriages, recently shared valuable thoughts on women's priorities.
In a tweet, he highlighted the common misconception among some women who prioritize marriage above all else, neglecting considerations such as their relationship with God, personal well-being, and the future welfare of their children.
Pastor Okonkwo emphasized the importance of finding personal fulfillment, stating that before a woman can find contentment in marriage, she must first discover joy in her single life.
Drawing parallels from the biblical account of Esau, Pastor Okonkwo illustrated how hasty decisions often lead to undesirable outcomes. He pointed out Esau’s impulsive act of exchanging his birthright for a meal, highlighting the potential consequences of desperation, especially in matters of marriage.
In his words: “Some women place marriage above God, above their own well being and even that of their unborn children.
“Anything done in desperation never births something good …ask Esau.
“Ladies, one of the major steps to being happily married is being happily single.”
