A Nigerian student pursuing his MSc postgraduate studies in Canada had a surprising encounter when he discovered his Nigerian lecturer from back home in the same class. The student’s father shared this remarkable experience on Twitter, providing details of his son’s disbelief at finding his former lecturer in Canada.

According to the father, the lecturer already holds a PhD obtained from a Nigerian university. Interestingly, the lecturer advised his former student not to address him as ‘sir’ in the Canadian classroom.
The post on Twitter shared the father’s account of the situation:
“Hi, My son was surprised to find his young lecturer who already had a PhD in Nigeria in his MSc class in Canada. He was instructed to stop the ‘sir’ he was used to in Nigeria.”
