Sharing a candid revelation, Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Tems, delves into a harrowing experience during a recent interview with Elle, where she discloses the most dangerous encounter she has ever faced, placing the blame on her uncle.
Recounting the nerve-wracking incident, Tems narrates an adrenaline-pumping moment when she was coerced into leaping out of a plane during a skydiving experience.
The 2023 Oscar-nominated artist vividly describes the act of jumping out of the plane as the most perilous thing she has ever undertaken.
“What’s the most dangerous thing you’ve every done?” the interviewer asked.
Without hesitation, Tems recalls the unnerving experience of being pushed out of the aeroplane despite expressing a desire to abort the skydiving mission while already in the sky.
“The most dangerous thing I’ve ever done is jump out of a plane. I don’t even know how high, but I went skydiving once. And I think for a second I was like, ‘Am I dying? I don’t know who sent me to do this. I don’t know why I decided to do this but here I am falling.’
“My uncle convinced me and my cousins to jump. I was like, ‘Wow! So cool. Daredevil.’ And then we got into the plane and I was like I will just stay in the plane and they said I can’t. They pushed us out,” she expressed.
