Celebrity make-up artiste, Adewunmi Fatai, took a swipe at Yoruba celebrities regarding their attire at the movie premiere of Mercy Aigbe.
The baby mama of actor Mustapha Sholagbade expressed her discontent on Instagram, criticizing the traditional outfits worn by Yoruba celebrities at Mercy’s movie premiere.
The premiere, themed "Cultural Wedding Guest Extravaganza," saw only a few attendees adhering to traditional attire.
Adewunmi voiced her disappointment, accusing the celebrities of tarnishing the Yoruba industry's image. She highlighted that despite Mercy Aigbe's directive to dress in their finest traditional wear, some attendees appeared in what she described as "rags."
She pointed out that both senior and junior colleagues were undermining the industry's reputation, suggesting that the bouncers should have removed them from the venue.
In her words: “Aunty Mercy say dress your best traditional extravaganza wear. You wear rag abeg Shey una no get sense ni Abu oriburuku nse yin? Una go just dey disgrace Yoruba industry ATI kekere ATI Agbaya both of una dey do oshi hisssss.
“Hisssss the bouncer for bounce una back ni ode people. Shey una no get alubawi ni tori koyemi. Pele omo Toni good shape”.
