Nigerian Catholic priest, Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, has recently shared insights on the challenging decision-making process that men face when selecting a life partner.

In a thought-provoking post on his official Facebook page, Fr. Kelvin Ugwu delves into the complexity of choosing a wife, emphasizing that this decision is considerably more intricate than the relatively simpler task of choosing a girlfriend.

Fr. Kelvin Ugwu articulates that the thought process behind selecting a girlfriend differs significantly from that of choosing a life partner. He humorously notes that while asking a girl to be a girlfriend may be a relatively straightforward decision, the complexity escalates when contemplating a lifelong commitment. Consequently, the women whom most men ultimately marry may bear little resemblance to those they once casually dated.

In his own words: “As funny as it may seem, one of the toughest decisions a man would make is choosing a wife. On the flip side, one of the easiest decisions is choosing a girlfriend. The way men think when asking a girl to be their girlfriend is not the way they think when asking a girl to be their wife. This is why the women most men end up marrying may look nothing close to the women they once dated.”
