Reality TV personality, Doyin David, shared on social media her decision to stop attending church. Taking to her Instagram story, she responded to an Instablog post about a US pastor who claimed God instructed him to steal $1.3 million from church members.

She cited such incidents as the reason for her decision to no longer attend church. Responding to the pastor's actions, Doyin expressed disbelief that certain members would still support him despite his actions.
She highlighted the decline in standards, suggesting that attending church nowadays seems almost foolish. However, she acknowledged God's patience, concluding with these words: “People ask me why I no longer go to church….ridiculous things like this is the reason. Just imagine this one saying God asked him to steal and you’ll find people in his church who will defend this madness. The standard keeps getting lower and lower by the day, it’s almost as if you have to be just plain stupid to be able to sit through certain sermon these days. God is really patient.”
