Nigerian Instagram comedian, Aloma Issac Junior, widely known as Zicsaloma, openly discusses the challenges he faced at the start of his career, particularly from his own siblings who doubted his passion for music and content creation.

In a candid interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Zicsaloma revealed that his siblings would disrupt his creative process and even go as far as destroying his collection of musical CDs. He recalled instances where he wanted to bring family and friends to The Voice, a music competition in South Africa, but due to lack of support from his siblings, he could only take his mother.

Despite the absence of encouragement from his family, Zicsaloma remained determined to pursue his dreams. He shared how his siblings used to ask him to keep quiet when he was singing or creating content, undermining his aspirations. Even his collection of musical CDs was shattered by his brothers, adding to the challenges he faced.

However, Zicsaloma's perseverance eventually paid off, and he has now become the "chief cornerstone" in his household, achieving remarkable success in the entertainment industry.

In his own words, “It was a situation where I was always singing, shouting and they would tell me to keep quiet, that I was making noise. I can remember even having some musical CDs like Celine Dion then. Before I return home, I will see all my CDs shattered by my brothers. When I even started content creation, it was another battle.

“I will be creating content and my brother will just come and turn on music. If they were even prospects of who would succeed at that point, obviously not me. But see it now, I am the chief cornerstone in the house.”

Despite the initial resistance from his family, Zicsaloma's talent and hard work propelled him to success, proving that he possesses the qualities necessary to thrive in the competitive entertainment world.

Several social media users shared their own experiences in the comments, expressing solidarity with Zicsaloma's journey. @A-Manda shared a similar struggle, while others like @user588761690591, @Niyi Opeyemi Esther, and @Big Bold & Beautiful offered words of encouragement and reflection on family dynamics.
