Samad

SAMAD is a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter from Lagos.

He first built a following online as a comedian / content creator before switching fully into music, using rap as a tool for humour and storytelling.

His sound is rooted in Yoruba culture — he blends traditional stories and proverbs with Afrobeats, street pop and rap. As he describes it: "My sound is Samad, originally. Everything about Samad. I blend traditional sounds and Yoruba stories because I'm a big fan of the culture."

After viral singles like "Confession" and "11:36", he broke out wider with "Jet" featuring Zlatan and Chech via ONErpm, a motivational anthem built on ambition and forward momentum.

Known for movie-like narratives, witty punchlines and relatable street tales, SAMAD is seen as one of the most exciting new voices in Nigerian music, with global dreams of keeping Yoruba storytelling alive in modern pop.
