Ghanaian rapper and singer Black Sherif returns with SUN SHERIF, a six-track EP that presents a more hopeful and emotionally open side of his artistry.
Released on September 3, 2026, through Blacko Management and EMPIRE, the project follows his 2025 album IRON BOY and marks another chapter in his evolving musical journey.
Known for his distinctive voice, compelling storytelling, and ability to turn personal struggles into relatable music, Black Sherif approaches this release with a fresh perspective on life, love, and self-discovery.
Across SUN SHERIF, Black Sherif explores themes of ambition, relationships, emotional vulnerability, and personal growth. The project maintains the expressive songwriting that has become central to his identity while allowing more room for melodic performances and softer musical textures.
Rather than focusing exclusively on struggle and survival, the Ghanaian star embraces a more optimistic outlook, reflecting on the lessons that come with experience and the possibility of finding peace along the way.
The EP contains six tracks: “Expresso,” “Run Around,” “Forever” featuring AratheJay, “Jolie,” “Frontline,” and “Love Again” featuring Full Blown.
The guest appearances bring additional character to the project, with AratheJay joining him on “Forever” and Trinidad and Tobago duo Full Blown contributing to the closing track. Together, the songs create a compact collection that moves between introspection, romance, confidence, and renewed hope.
Fans who have followed Black Sherif’s rise can also revisit earlier releases such as “Kwaku the Traveller,” “Second Sermon,” “Oil in My Head,” and “Sacrifice.”
His acclaimed albums, The Villain I Never Was and IRON BOY, also provide a broader view of the experiences and musical influences that have shaped his development as one of Ghana’s prominent contemporary artists.
With a runtime of approximately 16 minutes, SUN SHERIF by Black Sherif offers a concise but revealing addition to his discography.
The EP is available on major streaming platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify, giving fans the opportunity to experience his latest musical direction and discover the different moods explored across the six songs.
