On “IKEBE 3000,” the duo leans into themes of attraction, confidence, and nightlife, creating a song designed for parties and dance playlists. Its memorable “ikebe nwayọọ, nwayọọ” hook gives the record much of its character, while the repeated vocal phrases make it easy for listeners to catch on. Blaqbonez brings his usual personality and playful expression to the track, matching Asake’s energetic contribution.
The production combines punchy percussion, lively melodies, and a bouncy Afrobeats groove that keeps the song moving. Rather than building around complex lyrical storytelling, “IKEBE 3000” focuses on rhythm, vocal chemistry, and an immediately recognisable chorus. The result is a collaboration that allows both artists to explore a lighter, more dance-oriented sound while retaining elements of their individual musical identities.
Fans can also check out “Chanel,” Blaqbonez and Asake’s earlier collaboration, which helped establish their musical chemistry.
